School Council

Our school eco council are a pupil voice group in our school who share our pupils voice in Portmead. They lead in exploring ideas, problem-solving and aim to impact our school community positively. We discuss issues with Mrs Mainwaring and take them to Mrs Evans and our teachers to give our thoughts on behalf of our school community.

We are made up of 1 or 2 elected pupils from each year group and have regular meetings to discuss current issues. On occasion, we visit other schools to go and see good practice to bring what we think is good to our school.

Community Recycle Scheme

This new scheme donates second-hand, overstocked and end-of-line equipment to schools across the UK. A range of items has already been given away, including shade sails, post pad protectors and colourful fence pales. The full range of items can be viewed online, where requests can also be submitted. Several companies are involved with this initiative, including A&S Landscape who work with schools, builders & architects, and commercial end users to provide custom canopies.

  • School council have helped design our new school letter head featuring updated contact information and our school dragons.
